For Cake:
Dry ingredients:
2 cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Fine Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
Wet Ingredients:
8 ounces sour cream
1/2 cup Pure Maple Syrup
1/2 cup oil ( canola, vegetable or melted coconut oil
1/4 cup buttermilk or whole milk
2 large eggs beaten
1 teaspoon maple extract (optional. Makes it more maple flavor)
1/2 cups Chopped toasted walnuts
Strudel Mixture;
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cups chopped toasted walnuts
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg. I use both
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Topping:
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons maple syrup
Can add 1 teaspoon maple extract for more intense maple flavor
