Step:

  1. Add water, corn starch, sugar, and lemon juice to large sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thick.

  2. Remove mixture from heat and add fruit, extract, and spice. Mix well.

  3. Pour filling into glass container, cover, and let cool. This can be placed in fridge in air tight container for 5 days.


Ingredients

  1. 4-5 cups fruit (peeled, cored, sliced)
  2. 1/2 cup light brown sugar (adjust based on fruit sweetness)
  3. 1 cup water
  4. 1 TBS lemon juice
  5. 1/4 cup corn starch
  6. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  7. 1/4 tsp spice (see note)
